Some of us are probably wondering why MyDD has become a gathering place for edwards fans.

Isn't it obvious? Think about it. Edwards was the one that helped out Matt Stoller when he tried to halt the news-media-entertainment company broadcast of Nevada democratic party debates.. it was a risk that Matt took, and Edwards legitized it. Then, the social issues that Chris Bowers holds dear to his heart, were championed in the form of Edwards. Finally, everyone cheers Edwards' courage as his wife battles cancer.

But more importantly, its because Edwards is surging, because he's got a pro-grassroots feel, because he's a southern candidate and because he's connected enough to win.

IMHO it isn't quite obnoxious yet here at myDD but when one candidate becomes the dominant topic of conversation it just gets old after a while..

the blogosphere does not support Hillary as a first choice.

of the announced candidate Obama and Edwards are the natural candidates people talk about.

Edwards embrace the netroots framing on issues the most so it's not surprising that he's embraced here.

You can go to other blogs to talk about other candidates.

If a candidate has sufficient support from the members of this group blog to sustain the number of diaries you find "old," then I fail to see the problem.

If you're tired of the Edwards-related diaries, skip them.  You can see the subject before you read, if you're not interested don't click the link.  It's that simple.

Or, you can author your own diaries about the candidate of your choice.  Being upset that things aren't "normal" (and since when is talking about politics not 'normal' on a political blog) is not going to solve your problem.

This seems like envy.

A lot of whining going on lately, mostly with Obama fans who expect the nomination to be given to Barak Obama because they like him.  The Clinton fans get much more criticism of their candidate, but they do less whining.

Look at the Rec list.  It's filled with Obama diaries today.

Well, most everybody hates Hillary. So that leaves Edwards, Obama, and a few that might jump in at some point, maybe Gore.

Then the paleos have this guy Ron Paul.

As I predicted, the scumbag who left my state (Commonwealth of Massachusetts) $30 BILLION in debt, and the ONLY state with falling population, is getting the most money in the Banana Republican World.
